Boy or Girl?!

I wanted a girl. I have 3 neices, I have 9 Aunts not including my Mom.
It was in the cards right?!...
NOPE...


I was so nervous that day. Of coarse, Kyle came along, and was runnign late, whats new.We  made it. They called us back. The 'baby' at that minute did NOT want to cooperate. He was hiding, the nurse said. Finally, the time came, she asked "are you finding out what your having?!" Our response, "uh YES!!!" She finally said " ok...OH YEA, your definately having a...BOY!!!" Kyle's response I wouldn't expect anything less. He said " YES!!! I came through!!!" What an Idiot I thought with a chuckle. I for sure thought I would be dissapointed. I wasn't. It was something I was going to get used to. I was having a boy! WHEW, this is crazy. Its finally REAL. This is it! No turning back...

We called our families (we drove deperately) Kyle called his Mom and Dad. I called my sisters on conference call. Julie of coarse was BEYOND excited! She gets another grandchild!!! So many, so soon! Krissy and Ally I made them guess but couldn't hold it in. Krissy screamed "I KNEW IT!!!" and Ally was going along with the conversation! She was excited just as much as we were. They get a nephew!!! Then, Onto my mom..."Hi Mom! Guess what?! Im having a BOY" her response was so genuine... "OH MY I get the only granson?!! I for sure thought you were having a girl. This is going to be so different! WOW. A boy huh. Im so happy" For the first time, in a long time, I agreed with my mom. I was so happy. This joy is seriously going to last forever!

  Look what I made! It's a shadowbox filled with Luca's hospital stuff including the outfit he wore home, his first hat, the hospital bracelet, and his birth announcement, ambilical cord { I sealed the cord in plastic and put it in the diaper. Not everyone would want to see it, but I wanted to keep it somehow without losing it.  I love how it turned out! I totally jacked this idea from Pinterest {of course}. But I had to add my own twist to this project, and now I think my box is far superior to the ones I saw online {I might be a tad bias though}. SO you wanna know how I did it? I was 30 years old when my boyfriend of 7 years, Kyle, and I found out we were expecting a baby! We were really excited to have a little person that will have a little bit of both of us. I hadn't been experiencing morning sickness,but smells were REALLY bothering me. I wasn't the type to have a "normal" period so we didn't know something was up. After a couple weeks of experiencing the smell sickness I figured, lets try a test...POSITIVE!!! It was a very nerve racking day for us! I had a very normal pregnancy with the occasional aches and pains here and there. Once I reached 39 weeks along, I was absolutely ready to have this little guy. I mean I hadn't gotten huge but very uncomfortable!! I had gained over 30 pounds overall!!  Not many cravings... just the routine need to wake up at 2, 3, and 4 am to use the bathroom. 5 Years ago this week...

Today, most of you know, Kyle and I are going to be parents! Im 33 weeks today and we are more ready than the last time. I firmly believe that at that time we were not ready. We are older, more stable in our positions at work, just all around grown up. This is our time and we couldn't be HAPPIER :) Here is our story... {This was written when Facebook didn't exist and Myspace was all the craze. Its past tense, but makes sence} Kyle and I went on vacation on June 29 th through July 7th, 2007. We went on vacation so I could meet my father, Ken. That went ok but… We weren't even there for 3 hours and all hell broke loose.  We started off driving for 20 hours straight.
