28 Weeks!!! Almost there!

At 28 weeks I'm feeling really well still!  I can't believe this is the start of the third trimester.  I must be looking quite large though because it seems like recently people have been moving out of the way when they see me coming.  I found some pregnancy survey questions online that I'm going to use for this post.  That way I can get the main details in without forgetting anything.

Due Date: August 21st, 2011

Weeks Pregnant: 28

Weight gain so far: Not much, 10lbs. But im sure the bulk of it is coming... Yikes!

Pregnancy Symptoms: Mainly my symptoms come from just being big at this point.  I have quite a bit of  back pain after I sit on the floor... or any hard surface really.  Sometimes it almost feels better to stand and walk around than to sit because sometimes it seems like I can't get my sitting angle right.  Make sense?  No?  I'm confused too. Other than that, my main pregnancy symptom from the first time around has come back full-force: heartburn! I cannot get rid of it and no matter what I put in my mouth I seem to get it! 
Cravings: Popsicles. I am eating them like crazy... which probably doesn't help my heartburn now that I think about it.  Thats about it. Nothing big yet, but hopefully I dont get the junk food cravings like my sister did...
Sleep: I'm still sleeping decently at this point... though I'm sure I'll be eating my words soon.  Only issue with sleeping is turning. I get pain in my groin area that is NOT a fun pain when trying to get comfortable.
What I miss: Winter.  Not joking. It has been so hot lately its almost umbearable. I hate being hot. It just makes you even more uncomfortable.

What I'm looking forward to: Finishing his room!  We haven't even started but should be starting soon. Im getting excited to decorate!

Milestones: Saying adios second trimester and hola third! My sister, Krissy, also got to feel him kick this weekend!

Goals for the upcoming week(s): To not gain more than a pound a week.. ha!  I also am looking forward to passing my glucos test. Crossing fingers!!!

Movement: Full body, tummy shaking movements.  All day, everyday. He's our little Ninja :)

Gender: boy!
Labor signs: None yet, thank God!

  Look what I made! It's a shadowbox filled with Luca's hospital stuff including the outfit he wore home, his first hat, the hospital bracelet, and his birth announcement, ambilical cord { I sealed the cord in plastic and put it in the diaper. Not everyone would want to see it, but I wanted to keep it somehow without losing it.  I love how it turned out! I totally jacked this idea from Pinterest {of course}. I was 30 years old when my boyfriend of 7 years, Kyle, and I found out we were expecting a baby! We were really excited to have a little person that will have a little bit of both of us. I hadn't been experiencing morning sickness,but smells were REALLY bothering me. I wasn't the type to have a "normal" period so we didn't know something was up. After a couple weeks of experiencing the smell sickness I figured, lets try a test...POSITIVE!!! It was a very nerve racking day for us! I had a very normal pregnancy with the occasional aches and pains here and there. Once I reached 39 weeks along, I was absolutely ready to have this little guy. 37 Weeks...FULL TERM!!!

I cried on the way to work. NOT because I am unhappy, that is not the case by any means, BUT because TODAY I am considered FULL TERM!!! ♥ HOLY CRAP! I cannot believe this has gone by so fast! I am going enjoy this huge belly, swollen feet, heartburn after drinking water, high blood pressure, and EVERYTHING else comes along in the next couple weeks because I’m pretty sure we are going to have a HEALTHY & I’m sure pretty HANDSOME little man!!! :) ♥ FULL TERM! My due date is still 3 weeks away so I know that doesn’t mean a lot, but it gives some peace of mind. This little man could be born anytime now with lungs mature enough to likely be just fine. I’ll take the 3 extra weeks though! I’m figuring I’ll get 4 more weeks with this little one. Resources say he weighs around 6.5 lbs and is 19 – 20 inches long.   My ribcage is expanding to make space for all those squished organs. I’m seriously running out of clothes that fit.
