Alphabet Photo Book

Mrs. Allison Templeton send me some lovely little pictures she created on photoshop of the alphabet. I decided to make into a book for Luca :) I can't wait to receive it!!!

DIY Newborn Shadow Box

  Look what I made! It's a shadowbox filled with Luca's hospital stuff including the outfit he wore home, his first hat, the hospital bracelet, and his birth announcement, ambilical cord { I sealed the cord in plastic and put it in the diaper. Not everyone would want to see it, but I wanted to keep it somehow without losing it.  I love how it turned out! I totally jacked this idea from Pinterest {of course}. But I had to add my own twist to this project, and now I think my box is far superior to the ones I saw online {I might be a tad bias though}. SO you wanna know how I did it? I was 30 years old when my boyfriend of 7 years, Kyle, and I found out we were expecting a baby! We were really excited to have a little person that will have a little bit of both of us. I hadn't been experiencing morning sickness,but smells were REALLY bothering me. I wasn't the type to have a "normal" period so we didn't know something was up. After a couple weeks of experiencing the smell sickness I figured, lets try a test...POSITIVE!!! It was a very nerve racking day for us! I had a very normal pregnancy with the occasional aches and pains here and there. Once I reached 39 weeks along, I was absolutely ready to have this little guy. I mean I hadn't gotten huge but very uncomfortable!! I had gained over 30 pounds overall!!  Not many cravings... just the routine need to wake up at 2, 3, and 4 am to use the bathroom. 37 Weeks...FULL TERM!!!

I cried on the way to work. NOT because I am unhappy, that is not the case by any means, BUT because TODAY I am considered FULL TERM!!! ♥ HOLY CRAP! I cannot believe this has gone by so fast! I am going enjoy this huge belly, swollen feet, heartburn after drinking water, high blood pressure, and EVERYTHING else comes along in the next couple weeks because I’m pretty sure we are going to have a HEALTHY & I’m sure pretty HANDSOME little man!!! :) ♥ FULL TERM! My due date is still 3 weeks away so I know that doesn’t mean a lot, but it gives some peace of mind. This little man could be born anytime now with lungs mature enough to likely be just fine. I’ll take the 3 extra weeks though! I’m figuring I’ll get 4 more weeks with this little one. Resources say he weighs around 6.5 lbs and is 19 – 20 inches long.   My ribcage is expanding to make space for all those squished organs. I’m seriously running out of clothes that fit.
